In The Studio

In the Studio is a page to present the latest project I am working on in the studio. I started this series or project in January of 2008 which was inspired by the passing of a local legend from my home town of Ann Arbor, Michigan the previous November. Shakey Jake Woods found his home in Ann Arbor when he came down from Saginaw to perform at the Ann Arbor Blues festival. Jake inspired and entertained the local community with his stories, music and free spirited personality from the early years when I was just a teenager to the recent years before his passing. The loss of our Shakey Jake has me thinking about where I came from and how we impact each other's lives. I continue to work on this series both in print and in mixed art pieces.
